1. Who we are

This privacy policy applies to Clav Tides ("we", "us", "our"), the operator of the website at clavtides.com and the merchant of record for orders placed through it. Clav Tides supplies research-grade peptides for laboratory use only. We are based in Rhode Island, United States.

2. What we collect when you only browse

• Anonymous page-view analytics via Vercel Analytics — page URLs, approximate country, device type. No cookies, no IP storage, no cross-site tracking.
• Standard server logs kept by our host (Vercel) for operational purposes — IP address, user-agent, requested URL, timestamp. Retained on Vercel's schedule (typically up to 30 days) and used only for security and abuse prevention.
• An affiliate-tracking parameter appended to outbound links (e.g. ?ref=clavtides) so the destination supplier can attribute the referral. The parameter contains no personal data.

We do not run advertising pixels (Meta, TikTok, Google Ads), do not load third-party social trackers, and do not engage in behavioral retargeting on this site.

3. What we collect when you place an order

When you check out, we collect the information needed to fulfill your order:

• Your name and email address.
• The shipping address and a phone number for carrier delivery.
• The list of products and quantities you ordered.
• Payment information — processed by our PCI-compliant card processor. We receive a transaction reference and the last 4 digits of the card, never the full card number.

That information is used to package and ship your order, generate invoices and receipts, respond to support requests, and meet our tax and accounting obligations under federal and Rhode Island law.

4. Third-party services we use

• Vercel — hosting and anonymous analytics.
• Card processor — handles your payment under their PCI-DSS certification. We do not store full card numbers on our systems.
• Shipping carriers — USPS / UPS receive your name, address, and phone number to deliver the parcel.
• Email / transactional messaging provider — sends order confirmations, tracking notifications, and support replies.
• Google Maps — embedded maps load from Google's servers and are subject to Google's own privacy policy.

Each vendor handles only the data needed for its specific function and is bound by its own privacy terms.

5. Cookies

We do not set advertising or marketing cookies on this site. The cookies we may set are limited to (a) session cookies needed for the checkout flow to function, and (b) any cookies set by embedded third-party content (e.g. Google Maps) once you interact with it. You can clear or block these in your browser settings; doing so may break checkout.

6. How long we keep things

• Server logs: per Vercel's schedule (typically up to 30 days).
• Customer order records (invoices, shipping records, support tickets): kept for 7 years to meet federal and state tax/accounting obligations.
• Inactive prospect emails (unfulfilled cart, never-converted inquiries): deleted on request, otherwise removed in routine cleanup.

7. Your rights

You can ask us to:

• Tell you what information we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate information.
• Delete your information, except where we're required to keep it (e.g. for tax records on a completed order).
• Stop emailing you with marketing messages (which we send rarely; an unsubscribe link is included in any we do send).

To exercise these rights, email hello@clavtides.com with the email address tied to your order. We respond within 30 days.

California (CCPA / CPRA): we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising as those terms are defined under California law.

8. Age requirement

This site sells research chemicals and is intended for adults aged 18 or older purchasing on behalf of a research operation. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, contact us and we'll delete it.

9. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our practices evolve or as required by law. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be highlighted on the site for at least 14 days before they take effect where reasonably possible.
